Played both. The first one is what convinced me to get a PS2, actually.

You should definitely get around to playing the 2nd one. It's a lot better in terms of gameplay, I think.

Really? I think the gameplay is pretty cool on this one (even though I forget the commands sometimes lol).

2 player mode is so much fun. I'm teaching my little sister to play it right now.
